Chris Formico

Hello there!

It’s important to get to know your real estate agent to make sure the two of us are going to make a good fit. Of course the best way to get to know someone is to meet them face to face which is why I’d love to meet for coffee sometime. In the meantime, here’s a little bit about me.

I was born and raised right outside of Minneapolis, Minnesota which was a great place to grow up and also a nice place to live. When I was 19 I decided I wanted to go see the world so I enlisted in the US Air Force and my wish came true – I ended up getting stationed in Germany for two years.

In Germany I was able to travel on the weekends and would spend my paid leave traveling as much as possible. I actually didn’t go home for the entire two years – there was too much I wanted to do. I realized that I love traveling and meeting people from different cultures. During my time over there I visited London, Amsterdam, Munich, Berlin, Valencia, Barcelona, Prague, Interlaken, Brussels and many other little small cities around Germany.

I not only liked meeting people from different cultures, I enjoyed seeing how European culture operates differently than American. This experience has piqued my interest in renewable energy, recycling, efficiency – All things that I believe we need to improve upon in the US.

I was sent stateside for my last year in the Air Force. I ended up at Hurlburt Field Air Force Base up in the Florida Panhandle. Here I started taking college classes and ended up realizing that I’d love to stay in Florida.

I moved to St. Pete on impulse after my enlistment was over at just the right time to see this city take off. I feel fortunate to live here at a time when this city is growing at the most rapid pace anyone has ever seen.

I stay pretty busy around St. Pete. I enjoy outside activities like biking and kayaking. I also started strength training this past year which has helped me stay in the mindset of constant self improvement. You probably wouldn’t even know that I workout by just looking at me but the mental benefits are what keep me coming back. Strength training has taught me that persistence pays off, even if it takes longer than you expected.

My mother, sister and brother are all RE/MAX agents up in Minnesota where I’m from. Naturally I fell into this career field and now I’m the Florida branch of our family.

I started my real estate career at Keller Williams and then transferred to a local brokerage but ultimately we ended up joining RE/MAX for the name brand recognition and technological resources that support our real estate goals. I was under the impression that we would get our own hot air balloon when we joined but apparently that’s not the case.

Ryan and I started working together early in our careers, as of 2021 Ryan has retired from Real Estate to pursue an online business with his Wife. I am grateful to have had a partner whose goals and vision are similar to mine. Ryan and I realized the importance of reputation in this industry which is why we make it a point to provide our clients with the best possible service. We stay very involved in our listings in order to get them sold and always keep a direct line of communication with our buyers to ensure the process runs as smoothly as possible. We have built up a team around our team of the best mortgage professionals, home inspectors, insurance agents and title companies. Their performance reflects directly on us which is why it’s important for us to be able to recommend only the best.

Ryan and I are on the same page regarding the way we deal with our clients. We are not here to sell you anything – We are here to advise you on all potential opportunities to help you reach the best possible outcome for your situation whether it be buying or selling. We are here to manage the transaction and look out for your best interests.  Many people consider being a Realtor a sales job but it’s not. We are here to be your advisor, your transaction manager and your friend. Although Ryan has retired now, we are still good friends and I definitely wouldn’t be where I’m at today without our friendship and business partnership.
