This tiny beach town has a total area of 1.2 square miles with 67.5% of it being water. The local government has an official website and sign for the town you can see at: https://townofredingtonshores.com/
If you drive south into Redington Shores you’ll notice a combination of homes, condos and hotels. There’s a small park called Constitution Park on Gulf Boulevard shortly after entering the city limits. It offers a picnic area, playground, cooking facility and a few spots for recreational sports.
Redington Shores offers public beach access points. Shortly after the park there is an access point located directly across the street from the famous Candy Kitchen.
Do you like to fish? Even if you don’t and are looking for a place to lounge off the beach, Redington Shores offers a park called Del Bollo Park. The park has a dock where people can fish in the intracoastal waterway, benches for relaxing and a nice strip of land that is kept clean.
There’s also some nice places to eat in the town including Seabreeze Island Grill, Friendly Tavern, and Wahoo’s Waterside Pub and Patio. Redington Shores even has another fishing area known as the Redington Long Pier although as of July 2018 it faces an uncertain future due to damages sustained from Hurricane Irma and the land may end up being bought by a hotel chain.
