Historic Kenwood is one of the more well known neighborhoods in St Pete. Kenwood has become a well established neighborhood only relatively recently and is becoming a more desirable place to live due to the rapid development of the nearby Grand Central District.

Kenwood is best known for it's restored 1920's bungalow style houses and also it's sense of community. There are multiple neighborhood gatherings per year. One of the most well known is Bungalowfest - where neighbors volunteer to show off their beautiful houses to the public for a full day. Another is Pinot in the Park- which is an annual event that serves as a neighborhood gathering where neighbors come together in Seminole Park to eat, drink and be merry. Kenwood is also known for their "Porch Parties" where each month a designated neighbor will open their house to have a fun potluck neighborhood social.

Historic Kenwood is zoned for Mount Vernon ElementaryJohn Hopkins Middle, and St Petersburg High School.

As mentioned before, Historic Kenwood is a very social neighborhood. Besides their events, they are within walking distance to the Grand Central District which is a rapidly developing area with many bars, restaurants and entertainment. The Grand Central Area is the alternative to downtown for night life. There are multiple craft breweries, many great restaurants and also many unique specialty businesses including a dog bar, a modern coffee shop, a taco bus and much more.

These craft breweries serve as a great low key type of nightlife. The folks looking to skip the loud club scene will fit in well here. Some of the best beer and atmospheres in St Pete are all located within a short walking distance of each other. 3 Daughters Brewing was the pioneer of craft beer in this area, however the new comers such as Pinellas Ale Works and Cage Brewing have become welcome additions.

This area has exploded with new businesses all within a walkable distance to each other. The Grand Central District is helping to raise values in Kenwood and surrounding neighborhoods.
