Oh my god it is almost 4th of July, Hell yeah brotha. Here’s some sweet events this weekend and a little update on mortgage rates coming down a bit. If you have a 30 second attention span like a true Millennial and need my number for your future real estate needs, then here it is before you read through this well crafted weekly blog post that was created with love.

Sunrise Adventure

Looking for a lil Sunrise kayak action? If you’re an overachieving looking to start this event at 6:30 AM ON A SATURDAY then check this out. I rarely get up this early but I’m always glad when I do. Here’s the description from their FB Page.

Join us for an exciting kayaking adventure around some of the most iconic landmarks in downtown St. Pete! We’ll launch from Demens Landing and paddle around The Dali Museum, Albert Whitted Airport, The St Pete Pier, and North Straub Park, taking in the beautiful sights and sounds of the city from the water.
No experience is necessary – this event is perfect for beginners and families alike.
We’ll provide all the necessary gear, including kayak rental and a knowledgeable guide to lead us through the route. All you need to bring is a sense of adventure and a willingness to have fun!

Charity Bath Day @ Dog Bar

I took my smelly dog to this last month and also balled out and added the $5 nail trim so it wouldn’t sound like my dog is tap dancing around the house all the time. Here’s the link and some info from their FB page.

Join us for our longest running and most beloved monthly event – Bath day! Whether they’re big or small, we’ll bathe them all. This month we are hosting FLUFF Animal Rescue for bath day, an event that has brought in over $50,000 for local charities since it began in 2017. By stopping in for a quick wash of your pup you are contributing to the care and rehabilitation of local homeless pets!

Our prices are as follows:

  • $10 for small dogs
  • $15 for medium-sized dogs
  • $20 for large dogs
This includes a thorough ear cleaning and a gentle towel dry. If your pet needs a nail trim, it’s an additional $5 with a bath or $15 on its own.
Bath appointments are handled on a first-come, first-served basis, so make sure to arrive early. We’ll stop accepting sign-ups at 4:30 pm, as the event concludes at 5 pm.
The Got Lobstah? food truck will be on-site, serving up delicious treats.
We’d like to express our gratitude to our sponsors, Calling All Dogs: Dog Walking, Pet Sitting, and Overnight Stays, for all your pet sitting needs. Don’t hesitate to reach out to them for a quote.
We’d also like to thank our shampoo sponsors, Dapple Up Healthy Pet Shampoo, for their continued support in providing safe, high-quality shampoo for this event.
Please take note that there is a small cover charge of $7 for non-members bringing their pets for the day. Our Dog Bar is restricted to those aged 21 and above. Additionally, if this is your first visit, be sure to bring proof of your dog’s immunizations. For more information, please visit our website’s memberships page.

Rates are coming down a bit. Not as much as most of us would like but it is trending in the right direction.  They are still in the high 6% range but currently this is the lowest they have been since April. This is the fourth straight week that we’ve seen a decline in mortgage rates. Prices are still high but now is a good time to offer less. Here’s my number if you’re getting ready to get your home search started!
