Sammy the dog living her best life

Hola my fellow Millennials,

Full disclosure – here is an article not written by AI. Hope you enjoy.

I had the idea to start this newsletter when I realized that I’m not always aware of all the fun things going on in the St. Pete area. My idea for this will be evolving weekly as I figure out the best info to incorporate. I’ll likely be blogging into the void for the next few months until these posts gain traction but that’s OK cause I do it for the love of the game.

As a 35 year old Millennial, I don’t think I could ask for a better city to live in. Did you know Tampa Bay was recently ranked #1 in the US for places to move as a Millennial? By quite a big margin too. You can take a look at the article here.

My plan is to do this weekly newsletter to highlight anything that sounds fun for people around my age. Some ideas I may include are restaurant or bar of the week , things to do with dogs, places to go boating, places to drink, places to be social without drinking and also events that I put together to help my fellow Millennials make friends. If you have any real estate questions for someone with 10 years of experience in St. Pete, feel free to call or text me here! OK let’s get this party started.

Restaurant Of The Week

Mullets Fish Camp

Backyard is where it’s at!

Let’s start with Mullets – my favorite neighborhood restaurant right down the street from my house. I probably would cut my beer consumption in half if this place wasn’t so close.

Known for their smoked wings, Mullet’s is an old 1920’s converted house with a big backyard built for a good time. The ambiance includes colorful picnic tables, live music every night and friendly staff, some of which are so committed that they have mullets themselves.

I can’t say enough good things about this little South St. Pete Oasis. Great food, a bitchin happy hour and an old Florida vibe. What else do you need? It’s also easy to park and 90% of the restaurant is outside so feel free to bring your dog.

Events This Week

Freakin 4/20 Warehouse Party

Looking to get your rave on? I’ve only been to this venue once before and have been meaning to go back. As you might expect, it’s a warehouse with a bunch of outdoor space to move around. I don’t know if I’ll be dressing up like a mythical fairy or elf but you may see me there standing on the sidelines as I am too white to dance.

5th Annual Taco & Tequila Bar Crawl

Tacos and tequila is always a solid combo! I haven’t been to this event but the weather is looking pretty perfect for a bar crawl. All these bars are within a few blocks of each other and it’s not stupid hot out yet so should be a pretty pleasant afternoon.

Thursday Beginners Pick Up Volleyball

This is a pic of Northshore park, the event is at Woodlawn

Every Thursday at Woodlawn Park there’s a group of people that meet to play some pickup volleyball. In my experience playing volleyball is the best way to make new friends around here. There’s tons of different ways to get involved – pick up leagues, Tampa Bay Club Sports, skills based classes and groups such as Volleyball Solutions.

The Thursday night Woodlawn group is an easy way to get involved. The guy who puts it together charges $5 a month to cover his costs to rent the court. Club sports is only about $40 per person for an 8 week league if you decide to put together or join a team. There is no link to this event, just a group chat but feel free to show up any Thursday at 7:30 to find the group on Courts 1 and 2.

Featured Property

10263 Gandy Blvd, St. Pete Zillow Listing Here

This condo is perfect for someone who wants some awesome amenities, a great midway point between Tampa and Downtown St. Pete and the condo lifestyle that allows you to lock your door and jump on a plane out of Tampa International for however long you’d like.

This unit features something a bit rare in this area – loft style ceilings and also two private outdoor areas. It’s also only a 2 minute walk to the pool / hot tub area. Feel free to shoot me a text or give me a call if you’d like to set up a showing!

In Conclusion

Well I hope you enjoyed my first experimental weekly newsletter. I plan on learning a bit more each week to make it better. If you have any suggestions on events I could add or anything you’d like to see feel free to reach out.

If you would like to be a good friend (or frond) and send some real estate business my way I’d highly appreciate it! Free high fives for anyone that recommends me. Thanks and have a good weekend!
